3rd IEEE International Conference on BioInspired Processing, BIP 2021
November 4th & 5th, Costa Rica
The 3rd IEEE International Conference on BioInspired Processing (BIP 2021) is an event specialized in computational application to natural sciences and biologically inspired computational sciences. In 2021, the conference is held as a Latin American Conference on Informatics (CLEI 2021) affiliated event. The conference will be held as a virtual event, hosted by the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica on November 4 and 5. BIP encourages authors in these areas to submit their original work for conference consideration.
Purpose
BIP originated as an effort to leverage a tradition in Costa Rica that promotes high-level international scientific research related to natural sciences. In part, this is due to the rich biodiversity of the country, the national system of conservation areas, and the local human and technical resources to develop this research. Also there is expertise in the country on zoological, population or related aspects (animal species, biodiversity, antiophidic serums research, etc.), microbiology, molecular biology and other areas in natural sciences.
These areas require the introduction of techniques and resources from the fields of engineering and exact sciences (high-performance computing, mathematical modeling, signal processing, among others). The evolution of these last disciplines, in Costa Rica, has resulted in the need for a scientific congress that brings together national researchers in the field, putting them in contact with the international community working at the highest level on these same problems.
Important Dates
September 13th Deadline for submission of proposals
September 28th Author's notification of acceptance October 12th Camera-ready November 4th-5th EventReview and publication
Authors who want to submit their original work for conference publication consideration should submit their full papers, through EasyChair by August 20th, 2021. The review process will be handled subject to the following guidelines:
Single-blind review by members of the scientific committee.
The article length should be between 3 and 6 pages, following the IEEE template for conferences.
Work submitted should not have been published or under review in any other venue or journal.
Accepted papers will be given a presentation slot during the conference. At least one of the submitting authors must be registered in the conference. Authors of conditionally accepted papers must address the feedback given before the final submission.
Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore Digital Library according to conference #53678, 2021 IEEE 3rd International Conference on BioInspired Processing (BIP), subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements.
Accepted conference papers will be also eligible for publication of an extended version on a Special Issue of the journal Computation
Computation is a high impact factor open source journal. Selected papers from BIP third edition conference, will be fee waived within this special issue.
